We’ve been testing Kyocera’s KR-1 EVDO router with both Sprint and Verizon’s EVDO cards. Both work quite well, however, the router has problems establishing a VPN connection. There are other EVDO routers coming on the market which look good as well.
Make sure you purchase EVDO equipment from Booster-Antenna.com. We got both Sprint and Verizon cards from the respective dealers, but I’ve been disappointed with their knowledge and support. It’s even worse if you’re fortunate enough to be using a Macintosh. Booster-Antenna.com’s support is excellent, and is complementary if you purchase from them.
Of course what I really want is an Express Card from my MacBook Pro!
